So once again to my fellow Rhodies....NO MORE COMPLAINING ABOUT DRIVING!!!!!
Dad I and left our hotel in Silver Spring, Maryland, which is just north of Washington, D.C., around 9 a.m. and only just arrived at another hotel in Florence, South Carolina around 5:40 p.m. Here's the break down of our day....
-left the hotel around 9 a.m. from Silver Spring, Maryland
-traveled 65 miles and stopped shortly after entering Virginia State
-traveled another 62 miles before stopping for fuel - calculation resulted in my car getting 31 miles/gallon
-traveled another 65 mies before stopping at a rest stop shortly after entering North Carolina
-traveled about 36 miles and stopped for a late lunch at Denny's - we both ordered double cheeseburgers and I don't think I will be eating a burger for the next week
-traveled 180 miles into Florence, South Carolina where we are finally stopped for the night
Sorry, there isn't much to report on today because we pretty much just drove the entire day, but in total we completed 414 miles in almost 9 hours. Granted we had some traffic, torrential rains, took breaks, and just took it easy. Now we only have about 400 miles left until Orlando, Florida, so overall we are making good time.
Remember to comment if there something I should cover or even just to comment - please be polite!
Have a magical day!
