Web Based Interview

Step 2 of the application...the web-based interview (WBI)

The web-based interview, also known as the WBI, is the second step in the application process. Once the online application has been processed and approved, and e-mail is sent out with an invitation to take the WBI. The time between the application and the WBI varies for everyone so don't worry. The first time I applied, I never received the e-mail because I was rejected, but the second time, I received the e-mail within a few hours.

The WBI should be taken in a quiet place where you won't be disturbed, and it takes about 40 minutes. It is basically an online survey of your self evaluation and can be tricky if you aren't careful. There are a couple hundred questions divided into two parts. One part will have questions that ask you to pick which of the answers you think is the best, and the second part will have questions where you have to pick if you strongly agree, agree, neither agree nor disagree, disagree, or strongly disagree. The tricky part is that the questions are repeated in different ways to try and confuse you, but its to ensure that you stay consistent in your answers. From other blogs I read, it is best if you pick one of the stronger sides, don't be wishy-washy in the middle.

The biggest tips I found were to a. BE HONEST - don't answer everything with what you think they want to hear, but answer with what you truly believe; b. BREATH - this is a survey, and yes it is important, but breath through the process; and c. TAKE YOUR TIME - read each question carefully, understand what it's asking and then answer honestly.

This part isn't difficult and is pretty self-explanatory. There is no way to prepare for the WBI so don't try, just know who you are as an individual.

Well I hope this helps-feel free to ask questions or comment!

Have a magical day!
